Sanctuary Worship
The 10:15 a.m. worship service is held in the sanctuary and opens with a time of gathering and greeting each other before the call to worship. Each week the service focuses on a different theme that is drawn from the day's scripture lesson. The congregational singing, special music, sermon, children's moment and other elements of worship reflect this theme. The Lord's Supper, which is open to all, is the climax of this more formal worship opportunity. Following the Children's Moment, children are invited to attend either Children Worship and Wonder for three to seven-year-olds or Young Disciples for eight to twelve-year-olds, or they are welcome to continue worshiping in the sanctuary. Child care is always provided for infants and toddlers.
Worship in the Round
Worship in the Round is held each Sunday morning at 8 a.m. in Fellowship Hall. This is an opportunity to worship in a less formal, more intimate setting. Singing is often accompanied by guitar and tambourine, the Lord's Supper is shared around a small table that is open to all people and a rousing group discussion on the day's scripture reading replaces the more traditional sermon. This service is family-friendly although child care for infants and toddlers will be arranged upon request.
