Congratulations to Angela Tarnasky! At our congregational meeting and lunch on January 8, Angela Tarnasky was named our Honored Member for 2011 for the ways she extends herself in gracious hospitality. Angela rarely misses worship and usually attends both services which gives her lots of time to visit with people. She is a faithful deacon and likes to serve as a greeter. She knows nearly everyone’s name and is not afraid to ask for a name if she doesn’t know it. She also knows who is in the hospital, who is traveling, when they’ll be home and what they did while they were gone.

She is always ready with a friendly hello whether she knows the person she is talking to or not. She finds it easy to talk to people and remembers the things they tell her. She always asks people how they are and cares about their answer. Once she learns your birthday, she won’t forget and you can expect to receive a card. No one is better at extending Christian hospitality than Angela.

Angela is a native Oregonian – born in Sweet Home, one of four children – two girls, two boys. One of her favorite shows is “The Price is Right” and a favorite color is purple, and she will tell you that Denny’s is the best place for lunch.

We are blessed to have Angela in our midst and we would be a far less welcoming church if she wasn’t with us.
